Gregg's came highly recommended by a former local. I liked the restaurant so much on my initial visit (James was a great waiter), that I went back the next day too! I enjoyed everything I had there: pickles, chef's salad, pumpkin cheesecake, corned beef and cabbage, and apple pie. No doubt if I lived in Providence I'd be a regular at Gregg's!!

I went Saturday October 4th after my Dad's anniversary Mass. It was wonderful! There were 7 of us. The host was very accommodating and our waiter was great! He was on top of everything and we could be needy asking for more water, etc. We took our desserts to go. Highly recommend!
Staff is great. Food is yummy. The pickles though? If you’re a pickle person? Don’t do it. Just don’t. You’ll regret every single decision you’ve ever made up until this point. You’ll WANT to like them. You’ll try hard. You’ll attempt to eat 3 and gag on the last one. You’ll then just eat the pickle skin and still hate the taste. So just save yourself the time, effort and stomach lining. Get the chocolate cake instead. Greggs? Maybe just don’t make them anymore. We’re supposed to be kind - so let’s maybe do the right thing and take these bad larrys off the menu.
The food was good; fresh ingredients and made to order. Kellie, our waitress, was on top of everything, noticing the basic things we needed without us having to ask, which made dinner flow fuildly while we are and chatted. The place has a calm, family vibe to it with noce decor and relaxing music. The drinks, a pumpkin martini, were a nice start to fall seasonal drink.
